Dear Mother
Dear Mother
When God created mothers,
All as lovely as can be,
He made one extra special,
And saved her just for me!
A Mother’s love is indeed,
Very difficult to explain,
It is made of deep devotion,
And of sacrifice and pain!
The heart of a home is a mother,
Whose love is warm and true,
My home has always been the best,
With a wonderful mother like you!
You're patient and extremely wise,
You give guidance when I ask,
It seems you can do almost anything,
You're the master of every task!
You gave the gift of life to me,
And then in love, you set me free,
I thank you for your tender care,
I thank you for always being there!
I love you much more than you know,
You have my total respect,
And even if I could choose a mother,
It would be YOU who I'd select!
I write this poem for you, dear mother,
'Cause I want this poem to be,
My own special way of showing you,
How much you mean to me!
