COVID Warriors

Is this a bad dream 

Or some fictional movie going on

I still can't believe that the whole world is in lockdown

Just yesterday morning I went to buy fresh yield.

Just to find the shop next to my lane was sealed.

Moving around freely not a normal task.

As we need to keep our face covered in a mask

Touching your eyes, ears, and mouth is not so wise.

Your hands and environment need to be sanitized.

Covid 19 by now we are all so familiar with this word.

The killer disease who has defeated millions people across the world

While we are trying to be safe at home.

With covid 19 playing hide and seek.

There are some warriors out there.

Putting their lives at risk.

They are our doctors, angels in white.

Our policemen, doin their duties with all their might.

Then comes people who ensure a clean surrounding for us

All the people working hard without making a fuss.

Long hours of restless work that too with a smile on face.

Doing thier duty only to save the human race.

Some of them are mothers who had left their babies at home.

A toddler missing her mother or even a newborn. 

Fathers are out there serving the nation

Leaving behind at home all those relations
