Covid-19 Effects

The economics became all liberal and global boundaries shrunk, media became a social global-local village, with boundaries so few interconnected to a degree, no one ever knew

The global virus lurked in the shadows in a wet market, Young and old all alike all being its target, It struck beyond caste, creed, race and nationality, Disrupting like in present and for posterity 

Precautions set in, in the hope it could be averted, schools closed, offices shut, all roads stood deserted. Business suffered, the market went into a meltdown, the virus spread unabated forcing a lockdown.

Social distancing, sanitization and testing of suspect carriers, Doctors, health workers and officials fought covid-19 like warriors, Resources were mobilized, covid-19 hospitals set up overnight, people from all walks pitched in, everyone joined the fight 

People picked up life skills, also ran the odd earned, More family time saw many relations mend, Tiktok ruled the roost and many recipes got planned, But people also looked inward, minimalism became the trend 

Amidst it all, nature healed, steady but sure, All wildlife rejoiced, the air got pure, Serene and unadulterated seemed every view, like a pristine drop of morning dew 

Humanity will eventually prevail over a pandemic, But lessons learned should not remain just academic, On respecting the boundaries of nature we should stress on the never-ending journey of growth and progress.
