Consent

How small the world is but, holds a lot of meaning. 

It's a word that hasn't taught in our culture nor the scriptures, then why do we make such a big issue? Oh, it's a western concept don't bring that into our culture. 

I ask why because you'll lose your hold or you'll lose your power, the authority that comes to you with the privilege that patriarchy gives you. 

Oh, don't use such terms it's our tradition. How can you blame it? 

I ask why, why can't we change such traditions and mindset that leaves you with regrets and make you feel inferior. We were born the same, we share the equal workload (not in household thought). But you still think we are inferior and our voices and consent don't matter. 

So what if push you hard to the margins without asking you,

So what if I push you on the bed without your consent and we still believe, oh I am married to you why I need that consent. 

So what if drink and do late night parties, 

So what if come late at home cause my job demand so, 

So what if I want to go out alone wearing the dress I want to,

I ask here again loud and bold enough, 

SO WHAT IF IT'S MY CHOICE YOU STILL NEED MY CONSENT BEFORE ASSUMING THINGS THE WAY YOU WANT,

Because nor my dress, not my late-night hours, nothing has given you the consent to assume the things for me, cause it's a "NO".

And it can't be "YES" just because you have assumed.
