Confined Walls

She yearned to fly above the green corn fields;

She craved to explore the world;

Travel without any boundaries,

Which for her represented confinement.

Soon, her identity was diminished to that of a "house-wife"

For she too was a patriarchal woman who followed the social norms and rules.

Being cramped to the four walls of her house,

Made her robotic.

The daily chores was a tedious task,

Which meant no value or gained no value to her.

Her wings were now crippled which could not fly.

Yet, she dreamt of the beautiful oceans and fields;

Since dreams were not confined to the four walls of her house.
