Complicity
Complicity
I read in your eyes as one reads a poem
Fascinated by the words , drunk with passion,
Like a fervent reader in the novel he loves,
Sensitive to the meaning of the word, to perception.
I read in your eyes with a wide-open book
Unveiling your most secret thoughts,
And like the poet imagining a verse
My mind ventures into discreet reveries.
I read in your glance this divine word : Love
Easy to guess, complicit attitudes
You were seeing me too, and better than a long speech
Our thoughts, together, were revealing.
