Chasing Light

Chasing Light

1 min
182

In a life so gloom

The amount of hope it consumes

Amending what's broken

The hearts left shaken.

Chasing ahead made me realize

The wonders I left behind.

Powers were taken for granted

By the unwanted.

Left the worthwhile

Chasing imagery

Now left with nothing

But still chasing.

As the tale takes place

Of a story heard every time

Oh sorry! I wasted it

The time that's lost.

The path filled with light

We saw ahead wasn't

Worth neglecting the present

As a memory could have been created.

Rotting too hard at the moment

Didn't have memories to recall

At the dead bed where

The money earned didn't save a life.
