Caught Unaware

 prayer   illness   carelessness   corona 

Never knew how it did come

Maybe carelessness of someone

It caught someone unaware

Though she did take so much care.


She remained alone for so long

Fought it, remained so strong

The days looked long

The nights stretched too

But it was all along

She fought it through.


The pain I saw in those innocent eyes

The face all dull, lost the smile

She still questions herself

Why was it me?

I followed everything told to me.


Stay safe everyone 

She does pray

You never know how it will

Meet you on your way.
