Carmine

Carmine

I tried to elapse you gaze, natheless it kept me at bay.

The timbre in your voice, subtle and euphonious.

My abstractions almost smudged it, ashes in the ashtray.

Barely can write this, you have borne me digress.

The moonlight falls on your face, leaving a glint in your eyes.

I sense us floating, forget your folks.

Things turn out bitter with them later, I surmise.

Never want to see your smile on smokes.

Pin these words down, caress it with yours.

The forthcoming days, melodies frolic.

Feelings seep in, like a bolting tigress that roars.

The parallel has never been this euphoric.

I wanted to acknowledge you in that carmine frock.

You knew it though, your thoughts now got you in a headlock.
