Being a woman isn't easy
Being a woman isn't easy
Childhood truly a bliss, ,
Embracing adulthood I do miss
Days of childhood are the best,
I was a darling in my parents nest,
I had the freedom and was not supressed,
Neither I had the phobia of being assessed,
As I enter adulthood,
Iam instructed by many on " what I should ",
Often my words are misunderstood,
Adulthood a phase of testing abilities,
Unable to Shrug off my responsibilities,
Often I suffer from boredom,
Essaying umpteen roles as a woman,
Seldom reluctantly abiding by the routine,
Juggling with the chores in between,
Often demanding I feel exhausted,
In the web of life Iam enmeshed ,
My goals and desires are subdued,
In solitude,
I sit and brood,
As a woman I soak in a lot of words and emotions,
Camouflage my distress and expression ,
Heaving a deep sigh,
Gazing at the sky,
To overcome my boredom,
I yearn for a long walk to freedom.
