Behind Untold Eyes

Behind untold eyes

They look right at you without a sign 

They say all the right things 

At least what they think you want to hear

They take what should have been rightfully yours

Without a care for what this may cause 

Darkness glooms inside those eyes 

Untruths tangle and twist

Mazes and hard spots aplenty 

Getting out seems impossible 

Nightmares are made from unspoken words

Actions may bleed

Figuratively or for real

Looking backwards no clues in sight 

Silently laughing behind those untold eyes 

Where will it end 

What are the thoughts they tell themselves to justify 

Watching it all play out, will remorse be presented 

Damage maybe unrepairable 

No restart no undo

Over will be the end.
