Be My Valentine

The hours pass by my angel love, 

Still no sight of you I find. 

Shutting my eyes close,

 I picturise you smiling in my mind. 

The first time we met, 

Is still crystal clear to me. 

How then we became so close, 

That all my troubles were set free. 

The time we spent together, 

Feels like an eternity. 

Those happy times and memories, 

Bordering on hope, love, and insanity. 

Since I gave you my heart I knew, 

I cannot compete for your love much as I try. 

'Motherland' always comes first, 

So why do why, do I cry? 

Rereading through a letter of yours, 

The tears flow down and still, I smile. 

Looking at the stars in the sky, 

"Be my Valentine" I say to him across the mile.
