As a day unfolds
As a day unfolds
Awakened from slumber's embrace,
My senses struggle to keep pace,
As thoughts of the day ahead unfurl,
My mind battles with sleep's sweet twirl.
A cock's crow cuts through the still air,
Its clarion call evokes a carefree air.
Nature awakens to its morning song,
With insects and animals humming along.
In the rustling of leaves and chirping of crickets,
The music of the morning waxes and wickets.
A bee at my windowpane doth tap,
Inviting me to join the dawn's rap.
The street comes alive with honking cars,
Their headlights drawing strange, shifting sca
rs.
Cawing crows, eager for the sun's warmth,
Take flight and head to gardens to swarm.
The sanctity of prayers fills the air,
Chanting hymns of joy and care.
Three religions blend in perfect harmony,
In a symphony of divinity.
With the window open, cool air pours in,
Carrying fragrant scents from wood and glen.
My mind overflows with gratitude and cheer,
For another day, another year.
The paperboy arrives at the break of day,
Wishing me a good one, with a smile and sway.
And with that, I am fully awake,
Ready to face the challenges of the day.
