Are We Free

The nation has changed,

but the values have damaged,

in the name of modern life,

we have forgot the motive to survive.

We celebrate the Independence day,

but I want to ask everyone,

Are we free?

We cannot break the barriers of discrimination,

how can we say that we are believing in building this nation.

One day our superstitions and narrow beliefs,

will destroy us and spit on our own faces.

What future will we build for coming generations,

when they will have no scope and no motivation.

Killing cows is more disastrous than killing a human,

from where have we learned these moral values,

which have made our country a reason of mockery for other nations.

Realization is required before it's too late,

why does a common man does not understand that he is just a bait,

for the politicians and powerful souls,

who keep growing and massacre those who believe on them like fools.

Simple living and high thinking costs nothing,

a stale fruit will never bear the sweet seeds,

rise above this stale thinking,

humans are God's biggest creation,

this life is more than what you think,

enjoy it, live it and let others also live,

don't degrade yourself to flatter those,

who will snatch your independence on the name of democracy or secularism?
