An Ode To A Daughter

I shall sing a song for you to sleep along,

Song of love, laughter, for you my daughter,

I always will be at your side be your guide,

Showing you right way throughout the day,

Your childhood years will be without tears,

The years have passed you are in teenage we are no more on the same page,

I see you are growing up everyday,

With new friend you are moving away,

As you grow into adulthood,

You will know what is bad and good.

You too will have children one day,

Remember my message, show them a way,

On how when things go wrong,

Not to panic but stay strong,

Stay with them like I did with you,

Teach them what is false and what is true;

Though I am not at your side it's true,

But my spirit is always with you,

So when they go to sleep sing them a song,

So they will happily sleep along.

A song of love happiness and laughter.

Like I used to sing for you my daughter.

Father always will always be a child's guide

Though dead will watch from other side.
