Alone
Alone
In a world brimmed up with Homo sapiens;
I am all alone
Just like the rest.
For we are all solo travelers,
On our visit to this earth.
The fact that no matter how many people we meet on this spree
At summation, we are All Alone.
Always makes my soul shudder away.
Seeing no one on the way,
Makes me want to run errands and escape the inescapable.
But then I hear a voice;
Asking me to look for a gleam of light in the dark.
I ask, “Where?”
It affirms, “WITHIN”.
And so, I run and run and run,
Looking for the source of the voice;
But all I find is silence and agony.
And so, I keep looking recklessly everywhere but not WITHIN.
And that’s where the quandary lies.
