A Song Of Rain And Thunder
A Song Of Rain And Thunder
It was falling hard and fast
Counting its drops was no easy task
Its vigour reminds me of “revenge for a bloody past”
That till the dues are paid, its rage will last
It makes you crave for something hot
Like steaming coffee brewing in a pot
While “a siesta” might be the option for you lot
I wouldn’t say no to a nap either,of course not!
The skies darken upon its arrival paving the way
Letting it fall down in grace keepin’ the heat at bay
It randoms it visit; be it June or May
And when it does, it surely brightens our day
Accompanied by flashes of lights and growls of thunder
The cacophony is apt to break the silence asunder
To its lush moisture does the Earth surrender
Cause rain to the dry land is a generous lender
The perfect moment to curl up with a book
And sit by the window to occasionally look,
Startled by the moist view the shower overtook
This afternoon was one The Rain literally shook!
