A Little Christmas Story
A Little Christmas Story
The little town lighted with fairy light
All around the corners and wide
Snowflakes drooping from the sky
Children in happiness enjoy and cry
The marketplace glitter in lights and stars
Fancy paper, bulbs and the big Christmas tree decorated afar
The corner of the market filled with gifts and presents
Christmas time is the time so pleasant
The smiles and brightness on every face
The happy cries of children filled the place
Smell of fresh cakes and pastries filled the air
The hot cookies, sizzling turkeys, tempting cranberries none wishes to give away their share.
Christmas time is not just the time to feast
This time is to share and care the people with least
Little Tammy sat by the window happy and gay
Their house is beautifully decorated today
Santa came with lots of gifts for him and his brother
He was happy, unwrapping them one after the other
The delight on their faces seems heavenly
The Christmas time is time of Magic utterly
When he opens a small red box there lay the red coat that he so temptingly wanted to have
Santa knew what he wanted, he was delighted
He dances and dance and rocked and rolled
When his eyes went to a corner of the road
There under a shed sat a poor boy he beholds
Selling candles in the winter cold
Wrapped in a thin rag hardly could he be protecting
From the chilling and cold wind that rushed acrossed and straight
The snowflakes on the rug they fell
The candles that hardly he could sell
People rushed by went by him without noticing him
The poor eyes looked pale if one could buy a candle from him...
Tammy looked at him from the window glass
The fairy lights lit brightly, jingled the bells made of brass
He looked at his red coat with bright big eyes
A big drop of tear fell on it to his surprise.
Christmas is the time of sharing, caring and joy
The poor boy has every right to enjoy
He ran towards the door unbolted the lock
Ran Tammy across the street towards the block
The boy looked at him in surprise
Suddenly the face changed to a bright smile
"Merry Christmas brother if you would like a candle to buy from me"
Asked the boy in chirping words with a gee
Tammy smiled at him and up he pulled
Hugged the boy tight and kept him to
With a smile took out Santa's gift the red coat so bright
And wrapped the boy in the cozy and warm coat so tight
"Merry Christmas brother a gift for you,
Santa sent it to me to give it to you"
A smile so bright sparked on his face
The stars in the sky lit brightly in grace
Such a kind heart is always blessed
Sharing his own how could he be avoided God's grace
Christmas is a time of sharing, caring and joy
It's the time of the year when everyone come together to enjoy
Giving and receiving is what all we do
To bring in a smile on a pale face that's true.
Remember it's the season for Merry making
But also, do remember sharing and caring
Bring smiles on faces and joy in lives
Feasting on turkey and cakes and cookies and fries
Merry Christmas to all I say now
With all the blessings of the Holy one I take a vow
To share and care the poor and needy
And help them always and not be greedy
Merry Christmas to All!!!!
