5th Class

In Class 5, a teacher by the name Ms. Deepa Poojitha! was teaching English subject. In the 7th class, when I opened my syllabus textbook for English, I was surprised to see that the author was Ms.Deepa Poojitha!

During the class, I waited for Ma'am to pass by my table, tugged at her Saree and asked, "Did you write this book? " "Imagine my wonder, when she said"Yes, how did you know? " I showed her the name on the book, and she smiled, saying"You're a smart guy".

Five years later, we received a circular informing us about the demise of Poojitha Ma'am, due to cancer. I was saddened to have lost such a wonderful teacher. That day, I went home and opened the textbook written by her.

Upon opening the book, I was surprised. The author was Dipa Poojitha, not Deepa Poojitha! At that moment, I wondered " Why didn't she say anything then? ".She was magnanimous enough to praise that small analysis I had done, linking her and the author, and decided against discouraging me from continuing to connect dots. She saw the amazement in my eyes and decided against breaking my hopes.
