Living Gods
Living Gods
I can't agree more with the saying
That parents are our living Gods.
Emotions, love, passion,
Sorrow, tears & compassion,
They are the creators of every feeling in us.
From nurturing the tender us to making us mature,
There were no days spent without their bliss.
I let myself pick those pieces of happy pictures,
Where my arms loved the grip of my father
& my head slept with serene on my mother's lap.
I curse myself for disagreeing with them too,
For cheating them in a false hope of teen-age love.
If I say they are larger than the sky,
Don't turn down my words
As I've seen stars in their motivating words
& moon in the soothing care they bestow upon me.
They are the aubade of my morning
& serenade of my evening.
My life as tarnished as a pale day,
Without the touch of their presence.
My existence as meaningless as a day without vision
Unless they don't shower their blessings on me.
I need not to start a journey for pilgrimage,
As my parents are the Gods we travel thousand miles
to see,
& I am the fruit of their creation
Known as a pilgrim in the language of sanctified spirit.
