Dear Acne...
Dear Acne...
Dear acne,
You're so vile
And I despise you the most.
You pop up when I least expect you;
Catching me off guard
And making me stress about you.
You never really leave people alone
But you slowly steal our spirits,
Make us lose our confidence,
Punishing us with a hopeless life.
Dermatologists give you gels
And creams and lotions
They give you topical stuff
But don't tell that it shatters you from within.
People tell you to cut all sugar from your diet
And eat all veggies.
I raid my kitchen in hopes
To find a remedy to make you go away.
And when you finally decide to leave,
You leave behind a dark mark;
A scar to remind us all
That you've owned that spot.
You disappear but we live in fear
About you coming back to haunt us.
Dear acne,
I despise you the most.
