The Holy Orchestra of the Blue Stars
The Holy Orchestra of the Blue Stars
Pisces gambol about in the sapphire celestial sea;
A knoll in autumn bursting with starlight, flecks of beryl upon the lea;
The urn of Aquarius, a fountain of blessings;
Horologium's pendulum swings, the temporal sands' soft caressings.
Virgo's innocence brightens Eridanus rippling past the Empyrean field;
As Leo regally saunters, not daunted by Hercules' shield;
Cygnus swims through the lapis lazuli in the air;
The wings of the wind-borne Pegasus fair.
Fog of midnight topaz ripped by the arrows of Sagittarius;
'Tis aided by the directions cardinal by Circinus;
The Columba and the Monoceros fly, showering fortune, and luck;
Diviners reposing on hillocks; tales narrated by Vela,
The vessel of the firmament sets sail with pluck.
Pictor erected, the easel of the inky azure;
Balanced on Libra to sketch Andromeda demure;
Praying to an Empress before the altar Ara;
Our hymns sung, sweet is the harp of Lyra.
