Whose God Is Best? Part: 2
Whose God Is Best? Part: 2
In “Whose God is best” we saw that in a forest there were two groups of Tribals namely 'Insan' and 'Parikan'. The God of Insan group was Almacool and of Insan group was Jillabora. Both groups were extreme about their religion and were worshipping their own God. Both the groups were having communal riots between them again and again. A wise elder St. Joseph used to live there in that village. People of both the communities used to listen to his word. A wise man solved their quarrel, but after the death of St. Joseph those quarrels started again. Both the communities tried to cremate St. Insan according to their way and started quarrels for it. The grace of God or of that Holy soul, suddenly his body got separated into two parts. So they distributed it and cremated him according to their ways. To end their quarrel St. Joseph separated his body into two parts but he wasn't able to fill the gap between the two groups.
After many years that forest was developed as a tourist spot. People from the city started coming there and with them came to progress. Some builders tried to build Hotels and Farmhouse in that village, but the villagers didn't agree with them. One builder Thomas was ready to pay millions for their houses but the villagers weren't ready for leaving their motherland. Thomas was a witty person, understanding the sentiments of villagers, he adopted that village. Both the communities wrote a letter of agreement to the government for allowing Mr. Thomas to adopt their village. Then with the funds from government and his pocket, Thomas established a school, made roads for them. Made gardens and formed two beautiful cities for both the tribal groups. Now those tribes started using the latest mobiles and computers. Tribal tried to be modern, but the wild behavior was still in them. The enmity between them was increasing day by day. Thomas along with the successor of St. Insan tried to end these riots but their efforts were in vain. For how many days was he going to stay there with all this? So being fed up, he returned to his city.
One day, a group of people of Insan community, Minir, Alik, Zubber were talking, at that time suddenly Minir's brother Kirin came running and said, “Brothers, it's unfortunate, it's unfortunate." He was still breathing hard. Alik stood up and asked, “What happened?" Controlling his breaths Kirin said, "See this photo, it came on my WhatsApp." and Kirin showed his mobile phone to the other three. Seeing the photo on WhatsApp all three got angry. They formed their fist, anger was visible on their face. Minir read the message loudly, “Today morning in a bus running towards Bilsa, guys from Parikan community set fire on Insan community's people. The Parikan's showed no mercy on the plead of those people. (The latter description was horrible and inhuman.) After some breaths, he red further, “If you're a true Insan, a man then forward this message. Have words of St. Joseph."
Kirin forwarded that message to the other three. All three shared the same message in their WhatsApp groups and within a few minutes, the whole story was spreader in the City of Insan. Getting in hands any weapon they could, the citizens of Insan started a March towards the city of Parikan. One of them said, “Let’s set fire on whole Parikan City." With the words, "Long live Almacool" they were leading for there. To the surprise, in the darkness of night with words "Long live Jillabora" the Parikans also came with weapons. Before anyone gets anything, a war started between them. That night was bloody. Many were killed, separated hands were lying on the floor and roads were red of blood. Both the tribals were fighting for the extinction of the rival group. They didn't even show mercy on kids and women. The one who hid under shelter even they couldn't remain to save this time. Their death was more terribl
e. Both the tribals took revenge for their friend's and relative's death from the one who was safe. And with the arrival of the morning the prediction of St. Insan went true, “If you people will carry on fighting in the same way then in the name of the village we would be left with broken huts and dead bodies." In both the cities were Smokey houses and bloody dead bodies. No one was able to escape.

That day's newspapers were full of stories about the horrible incident. Thomas was sitting in his air-conditioned office, reading The Daily Bugle and going through the stories about Insan and Parikan. He took a deep breath after reading those stories and rang the bell. The peon came in. He commanded, “Call James." James came in after some time. Showing the news on his mobile phone in the Daily Hunt app, he asked James, “Did you read that?" Leaving a glance over the news James said, “You’re great sir." And that room echoed their cruel laughter.
Thomas said, “See the miracle of WhatsApp. You were always asking why I send messages with different phone numbers." Messages like, “Send this message to other ten people and with the grace of Lord Almacool you will get a piece of good news. Or else send this message to the other three groups, Lord Jillabora would be impressed on you. Or like, this girl is poor and sick, so for helping her forward this message, with each forward she will get ten pennies which would be helpful to her in her treatment. You know why I was sending these messages with different phone numbers?"
James, “Why Sir?"
Thomas, “I was keen to know what kind of messages get viral earliest. Like what kind of message reaches the most number of people. So that if in a hurry if we have to spread fake news or rumors then such kind of message will help us. And in the end, according to the survey I came to know that the messages having the name of St. Joseph were shared the most by both the groups. And the day when I got the chance, that day I took a photograph of people killed in an old bus accident, edited it in Photoshop and spread the message blaming each other for the accident among some people of Insan and Parikans. I stated in the message, “Have words of St. Joseph and the rest story is there in newspapers. Now let's start building a luxurious hotel in that village. Village is all ours."
James asked, “Sir, how is that possible?"
Thomas said with cruelty, “They thumbprint the agreement of adoption of village happily and sent that to government, but those foolish people were unaware that I took their thump print not on the agreement of adoption but on the agreement that I have purchased that village. And that agreement was sent to my house's address instead of the government. There is no need for the signing of documents for adoption those idiots didn't even know that. Adoption is a good deed, but no knowledge and not any kind of information and they were using WhatsApp. In which of their religious book it's written that by sharing messages of particular God, he will get impressed? Or why WhatsApp will give 10 pennies for the treatment of a girl.? Facebook took over WhatsApp for earning and not for helping others. Is it a charitable trust? Or they will give their money? And without understanding the thing they started sharing the messages. And for taking the benefit of their such habit I was eagerly waiting for a chance. Chance to destroy both the cities by a fake message and at last it happened.'
James said laughing, “You’re clever sir. After taking their thumbprint on the agreement you opened a school for them. And you gave those foolish people a Smartphone but didn't teach them their usage. It's just like giving matchstick to a kid." And that room once again echoed their laughter, that brutal laugh under which many chaos went silent.
