“And this is where the ‘Witherbrook’ family ate dinner every night,” told the guide to Peter and his group of friends who had come over for a day picnic at the famous ‘Witherbrook’s Mansion’.

Peter was fascinated to see the riches gone antique in this gloomy historic house of the Englishman. The guide took them to every niche and corner of the house. “Wilson Witherbrook, the biggest Tea estate owner, wanted to build a huge castle, the best and the biggest on this side of the country… but who has seen the unseen future,” he sighed and continued, “Wilson died of a sudden cardiac arrest and his wife also followed him thereafter as she also passed away due to the sudden shock and grief. As fate would have it, their 10-year-old boy was left orphaned and all alone in this big mansion.” reported the guide with a pitiful dramatic tone. Peter was highly inquisitive at this point and asked, “so what happened to their son?” The guide looked at Peter with grave eyes and replied that the boy never wanted to leave this house but sadly he was taken away to his maternal grandparents when the Government took over Wilson’s Tea estates and his mansion. The guide also stated that thousands of workers who worked here over the years for the maintenance of this house have reported that they have seen a small wondrous image of a boy roaming about in the mansion. Peter and his friends were highly frightened to hear this. They wanted to leave this place right away. But Peter was highly fascinated to hear this. They went around the property and clicked pictures from every nook and angle of this Victorian beauty.

Once he was home, he excitedly told his family the sad story of the Wilson Family. That night onwards, Peter would see an unseen boy in his dreams every day. Peter started to turn into a dull and uncheerful child. He often told his parents about his disturbing dreams and they, in turn, took him to good doctors.

Even after several medications and therapy sessions, Peter showed no improvement. He could now sketch the faint image of the unseen Wilson boy on a sheet of paper… even with closed eyes. One fine morning he demanded his parents to take him back to the “Wilson Witherbrook’s Mansion”.

Once there, Peter ran in the direction of the family dining room, his parents chasing him right behind. Peter sneaked under the metal chains and restraints and was now near the dining chairs. He sat in one of the chairs and cupped his eyes with his palms. He gave out an inexplicable loud shriek. His parents and other visitors were freaking out as they called him out in vain.

Peter sat there for a while and then rose from the chair swiftly and headed behind towards the fireplace. He knelt down and started digging the hearth with his small bare hands. He felt that unseen energy and power had dawned upon him and within a couple of minutes he dug up the whole fireplace. He lay flat on his stomach and extended his right hand deep under the rutted hearth and tried to pull onto something. To everyone’s surprise, he pulled out a loosely jointed skeletal arm. He took the arm and held it tight against his heart.

An invisible, eerie wind started to blow all of a sudden. Peter then glanced at his parents and said, “ Please call the Police”.

Peter told the cops to excavate deep down to remove the remaining part of the skeleton.

Once it was all done, he compiled the different bones to form a vague outline of the body. He then sat staring at it indefinitely until he felt an unseen surge of energy in him. Peter passed out and fell to the ground. His parents shook him and gave him a nice drink of water and then Peter opened his beaming eyes and cheerfully said, “let’s go home Mummy,” I am very tired and want to sleep.”

And from that day onwards, Peter slept like a log every day.
