The Magical Basket

Once upon a time, in a small village there lived a poor couple, Ram and Rohini. Everyday they went to the temple to offer their prayers. One day, as usual they went to the temple. While returning from the temple, they decided to pluck some mangoes from the tree. But there was a problem: where would they keep their fruits? They decided to look for a basket. Soon after, Rohini found a basket. They decided to put their mangoes in that. They went home and ate their mangoes happily. After eating, Ram said " I wish we could get ten gold coins. But, it is not in our destiny." But suddenly, out of nowhere emerged ten gold coins.

Ram and Rohini realised that it was a wish fulfilling basket! They decided to look for its real owner. Just then a man announced I have lost my pink basket." Hearing this Ram rushed out of the house with the basket he had. He then asked the man" Is this your basket?" The man said "yes". Ram told the entire story to the man about how he found the basket. The man was amazed by his honesty and gave the pink basket to Ram. Ram went home. He and his wife asked for a few things they needed and lived rest of their life in happiness and comfort. 

Moral: Honesty is the best policy
