“I live in a world where the veil between various dimensions has melted. I no longer can differentiate if I am on earth or some other place. One minute I am blowing the steam off from a cup of hot coffee in my hands and in a blink, I find myself surrounded by creatures that I understand as I see them as some kind of butterflies. Do I sound like I am out of my mind? Don’t you dare think that. You aren't in my shoes, and you have no idea what it feels like. I sometimes wonder if I’m the only one. But if you are reading this and find yourself in a situation similar to mine then I would like to meet you in the astral dimension. Why there? Because then we wouldn’t need a rendezvous. We will just know when to meet and where to meet.

It all started after I was saved from drowning. I had spent about a week on a hospital bed. Doctors had put me on a ventilator. My people later revealed I had been in a coma for five days. I didn’t believe them, for in those days I was flying in a world whose atmosphere was a hue of purple. No green or blues, no VIBGYOR. Everything tangible was shrouded in a golden shimmery mist. If I was in a coma, how was I able to feel the buttery breeze or close my eyes and inhale the fragrance of something I haven’t perceived in my entire life. I didn’t see or meet anyone, but I knew there were people around only that I wasn’t able to see them. Everything was at peace, and I didn’t want to go back home. I don’t know how much time in hours or days I spent there and all of a sudden, I found myself lying in a room that reeked of disinfectants. A few days later after I was discharged it all began when I first saw a creature that didn’t seem of earth. With multiple eyes of various sizes on its face and a mouth that drooled slime it was something out of a fantasy movie. It made a sound close to growling when it saw me and then it charged towards me. In an attempt to escape his grasp, the moment I turned to run I found myself in another dimension where there were just the clouds floating around. I glanced over my shoulder, and he was gone. I looked down and there was no ground under my feet. In an instant I had jumped dimensions. By now you may think I was hallucinating but believe me I was not. The other day at my office I saw a lady pass right through a person’s body and he didn’t feel a thing, he just continued talking over his mobile. The weird thing is that I knew that lady, she was a colleague and that she had died a few weeks ago. That was her spirit wandering.

Many weeks have passed since then and now I’m convinced the near-death experience has given me certain abilities that’s uncommon…no, not uncommon, rare, actually out of this world. And I believe I’m not the only one. If you are reading these chances, are you are experiencing the same. For that was my intention when I wrote this that this is to be found by someone who is in shoes like mine. So, dear stranger, close your eyes and look for the lavender lady in the astral realm. That’s me.”

With a deep inhale, Shiv folded the letter in two folds and placed it in between the five hundred rupees notes in his wallet. He inspected the glass bottle in his hand contemplating what to do with it next. A few seconds later he tossed it in the salty water and stared at it until the gently crashing waves took it out from his sight. A smile was born on his lips at the realization that he wasn’t alone experiencing the supernatural. He was soon going to meet her, the lavender lady.
