The Fight

It was a peaceful day…the sun was shining bright and the birds were chirping. There were two sisters in a house. Their names are Kriti and Kanuka Both the sisters in the house were fighting over who can do better in their studies. Both of them argued for an hour and finally decided that they will see about it in the exams coming up on the 14th. Kriti came to Kanuka’s room and said in a low voice ‘I am sorry, I shouldn’t have continued the argument, can you forgive me?’. Kanuka replied-’NO, I AM GOING TO PROVE MYSELF’. Kriti left the room. It was the time of exams. Kriti scored an A+ grade whereas Kanuka got a C grade. Their parents congratulated Kriti but they were not happy with Kanuka.

They had a family talk and they asked Kanuka-’is anything bothering you? you always get very good grades, what happened this time?’. Kanuka answered-’Remember the fight me and Kriti had? I was too bothered about it…..I couldn't concentrate properly on my studies in the worry of not getting good grades. Her father replied-’A stitch in time saves nine…..just like how a hole in clothes becomes big over time if you don’t stitch it….the argument became big and you lost your focus on everything bothering about it’. she replied-I am sorry, I won’t repeat it again…sorry Kriti’. They both were happy again and scored good grades almost every time after that talk.
