Lesson Learnt

It was a stormy day…..Everything was peaceful until i heard my neighbor scream “HELP ME HELP ME…..THE WATER IS IN MY HOUSE”.I informed my mom and dad as soon as i heard that scream from my neighbor…we took some of the other neighbors and went to her house to help her… .She wasn’t able to open the door because the railing from the stairs broke and was blocking her from opening the door. The water was running inside the house from the windows. We all helped her open the door by moving the railing away from the door. When we opened the door…all we saw was that all the furniture and electronics were drowning in the water the fishes in the sea.

She and her son came out of the house and they were staying the other neighbors house for that night. Her son always wanted to live in a villa and not a small apartment like they are living in right now. His mom started “See my dear son, we need to thankful that these people saved us and we still have food to eat but the people who live on the streets have nothing except the clothes that they are wearing right now…their houses got destroyed in the storm. You need to be thankful for what you have…We don't need and villa and all the luxuries to survive, all we need is a small house like we have right now and some food that we will get from our hard work that we do, Remember always help people too. Her son replied “Well, I guess you are right….this is probably what that wise man meant by a bird in hand is worth two in the bush”. Everyone smiled and went to check if anyone else had any problems and then headed back to their houses.
