The Bird King

All the animals in the jungle had a king. The birds were jealous. They wanted a king too.

"Let me be King. Look at my wonderful colours!" said the beautiful parakeet. "No, no," said the myna. "I can speak and talk to other animals. I should be king."

"And I have a fantastic beak!" said the Toucan. "I want to be the Bird King."

"I know," said the Macaw. "Why don't we have a competition? The bird that can fly the highest will be the Bird King."

Everyone thought that this was an excellent idea, especially the eagle. "Make me King now," he said. "I am the strongest and I can fly the highest."

"Ah," said a little voice, "But you might not win!"

"Ha ha!" laughed the eagle. "You can't beat me, little sparrow."

"We will see," said the sparrow.

The race began, and all the birds flew high into the sky. They flew higher and higher, and the eagle flew the highest.

"Ha! I told you!" squawked the eagle. "I am the king."

But the sparrow was hiding under the eagle's wings. Suddenly, he flew higher than the eagle's head. The sparrow was the highest bird of all. He won the competition, and the sparrow was the new Bird King.

Kerry Finds a Coin

Kerry, the rabbit, began to move towards her home as it was evening, and she was getting late for dinner. She was dancing in joy and hopping faster when she realized her mom was going to serve her fresh carrots and leaf spinach for food.

The sun was about to set. Suddenly, what Kerry saw was something glittering on the ground.

She stopped and went near it. "Oh! A coin," she said.

She took it in her hands and thought about what to do with it. She cannot keep it because it's not hers. If she leaves it, someone might steal it, and the real owner of the coin won't get it.

She wanted to give the coin to the real owner. She hid in the bushes with the coin in her hands and started to watch who all were crossing that way.

Then came Tele squirrel, looking sad, searching here and there. She crossed the lane once and came back again, looking at the surroundings.

"Hello Kerry," said the squirrel.

"What are you looking for?" asked Kerry to make sure she was looking for the coin and it was hers.

"Oh! I lost my coin, which my mom gave me to buy fruits. Now I am worried," said Tele.

"Here it is," Kerry shouted with joy. "I have found the real owner of the coin and I hand it over to you."

Tele squirrel jumped with happiness. "Thank you, Kerry. I will share the fruits with you tomorrow."

Kerry quickly said bye to the squirrel and ran towards her home.

Sharing 🐇🐇

Far away in the Wonder Jungle, there lived two rabbits who were brothers and who never wanted to share anything with each other. Their mother always wanted them to share their toys, food, dresses, but they never did so.

They always wanted their things for themselves individually.

One day, the mother was cleaning the kitchen and she found one chocolate.

"Oh! There is only one chocolate... What to do? How to convince my children to share this chocolate and eat half-half?" she thought.

Suddenly, an idea came to her mind.

She called both her babies and said, "See, I have got only one chocolate, and as both of you never want to share your things, so I am going to throw this

chocolate out of the window because I cannot give this to only one of you." As she put her hand outside the window, both the babies started shouting, "Mamma, we will share the chocolate and eat half-half. Please don't throw it."

After that, both rabbits started sharing everything with each other, and they understood the fact that sharing is caring.

Yumpy wants to fly

"I want to fly... I want to fly," said Yumpy.

"But you are a kangaroo, Yumpy, and kangaroos cannot fly. They don't have wings," said Yumpy's mother.

"But mumma, when I see my friends flying, I too want to fly," Yumpy said in a sad voice.

"Oh baby! Your friends who are flying, like parrots or crows or pigeons, they are birds and have wings. We kangaroos cannot fly," said the mother.

Yumpy was very sad.

Seeing her baby sad, the mother Kangaroo thought of an idea. She went to the market and bought a kite for her baby.

The next evening, the mother Kangaroo put her baby in the pouch and went to the big ground and started flying the kite.

"See baby, we cannot fly, but we can make a kite fly up in the air," said the mother Kangaroo.

"Yes, Mumma! It's wonderful... I love the kite," said Yumpy with a big grin on his face.
