Story Of Dev Sudha

Sudha was a graduate who chose to marry Dev, the guy she wanted to finally settle down with after multiple attempts at finding a match. Dev gave her the feeling that she need not search for a life partner further.

Sudha had a lot of members to call as family yet none of them really cared or bothered about her well being or her needs & necessities. She took up a job soon after writing her graduation exams in order to support her family. Her folks had begun seeking alliances for her right from the day she stepped in college.

Her father who ran a store seemed like a man with noble intentions. Sudha's widowed grandmother & uncle also stayed with them. Her uncle who was married had two kids as his contribution in the already crowded 3 bedroom apartment rented by the lot.

Sudha being the eldest was to begin the much awaited, worried & sought after events of their lives, "The marrying off of the daughter's". Her family members were no different than the family members most of the indians are alloted by Gods. I call it by law of inheritance due to balance of negative karma we get such considerate relatives as Sudha. Her family members began retrospectively offering their views with regards to the current situation.

A gathering of relatives at Sudha's residence was called for, which included maternal uncles accompanied with maternal aunts dissuading Sudha from marrying Dev. Reason - Because their self acclaimed highly intelligent minds felt that love marriages had a lower mortality/functional rate. This notion was strongly backed by Sudha's paternal aunt & her husband aswell. But all of them put together couldn't make Sudha budge.

Dev's parents were the sensible, god fearing kind who wholeheartedly accepted Sudha as their daughter in law. They had a higher understanding of life & didn't choose to burden Sudha's family with any demands of any sorts.

After a year of courtship, Sudha & Dev got married inspite of several attempts by many of Sudha's relatives to ruin their relationship. Attending their wedding was one of the best events I have been to in my life.
