Save Women From Acid Attacks

Women in ancient times were held in high esteem. With the passage of time, however, the position of women has been deteriorating. In recent years, crimes against women have increased and are taking on varied forms, including female foeticide, dowry, molestation, workplace harassment, domestic violence and even physical assaults. Cases of acid attacks by jilted lovers have been on the rise.

The consequences of these attacks range from physical disfigurement to social stigma, depression and even socio- economic . We must tackle the issue not only from a legal and procedural point of view but also examine the social malaise that exists. The fact that even the issue has spoken out about this shows what a serious problem we are facing.
