Chapter XII

The sun started to emerge from its deep sleep. The clouds worshipped the early light of dawn. The cool breeze of the night had been sung to relax. It was the beginning of sweet-milk

fresh day. 

Chuck slowly opened his eyes effortlessly as the first ray of sunlight dazzled over him. He looked around his surroundings. 

"Where am I?" asked Chuck "what is this place and who brought me here" 

"Hello. You seemed to have had a sound sleep in my paradise! I made you feel luxurious by making you a beautiful bed of flowers. You were tossing and turning on this rocky

floor." said Fiona!

"Thank you, kind fairy! Now, where am I?" asked Chuck

"My dear boy! You are in my paradise of Springfield!" exclaimed Fiona the fairy. 

"Oh, well! How did I land here? I lastly remember I was in my class with my friends back at school.

Hmm, I don't think I was with my friends. I have no one as friends." said Chuck.

"I and another witch broke in a fierce battle. She saw you come and pass by the yard from the skies and admonished me to kill you if I didn't let her reign Springfield. I did not sacrifice my beautiful paradise. But when she sprung from the skies, she flew straight down with her staff aiming at you. I rushed as fast as a horse and blocked her way, carried you and disappeared. Do not worry. For now, my home is your safe place." explained Fiona. 

We all know the trick of our fairy friend here. But Chuck, with his memory erased by magic, had to accept the false truth. 

"Oh, you are the most helpful fairy I have ever met! What can I do in the restoration of your kind gesture?" asked Chuck

"I have no friends to play or have fun. I want you to be my one and only friend. I do not want you to have any other friend than me. Do you agree?" asked Fiona.

"With all my will and my heart, I do!" Chuck assured

Fiona's lips opened showing out her white, even, sparkling teeth and closed it effortlessly to conceal his suspicion. 

"Well, I am happy I have found a deserving friend! Come! Share all your happiness with your true,

willing friend! Let us hop, skip and play in this vast land made just for us!

Trust me, it is blissful and you will never wish to leave this place! Do not

shudder at this point! I will surely share your company! Look, the sun of

paradise is smiling at you; I think he likes you already! Come! Play with me

and the others will also start liking you!" exclaimed Fiona

"As a fairy, comparing with me, your pace is too fast. I cannot keep up my pace alongside with

you!" complained Chuck.

 

"If that is the case, then I will become......" stopped Fiona the fairy to engage her in transformation.

She transmuted herself into the most alluring maiden in the universe. Her hair sustained its silver

strands, her eyes glowed under the sunlight rays, her lips shone its cherry pink shade and her dress sparkled like pure diamond, fresh out of the coal mine, polished and clean. Her shoes were made of the finest and the most comfortable glass; even Cinderella’s tale could not express its beauty. She attracted the creatures of her heaven.

"Now, are you comfortable?" asked Fiona with the most beautiful smile.

"The most" replied Chuck.
