Peace Regained

"This is our playground!"

Roared 12 year old Rajbir Chauhan, who was the leader of children from upper caste among the residents of Shahpura village.

"No! This playground is ours!" Yelled Anuj Rana. 

He was standing among other boys who belonged to lower caste.

"We are the Lord's of entire Shahpura," Ranbir glared at Anuj and his friends. "You people hav no right to step on our ground."

"Our parents had toiled hard to convert the jungle into this neat playground. So it is ours!"

"But it was our family who paid your parents and made them do the job. So it is ours, you jerks!"

"How dare you call us jerks?"

The two groups started wrestling and assaulting each other. A minute later, Chhotu came running towards them.

"The cricket match has begun!"

All of a sudden, the boys abandoned their fight and started running towards the Chaupal where a television set was installed. And where all the residents of Shahpura gathered irrespective of their cast, creed and religion to cheer up the players of the Indian National cricket team. The air at village chaupal was filled with hues of tranquility, love and brotherhood. And hence peace pervaded over the group of boys who were fighting earlier as the united to cheer up their team.
