Mirror World

Dana looked at how terrible and ugly the world around her had become. Everyone was suspicious of everyone else, as no one knew where anybody else had been.

It was like a real life horror story for humankind.

She was not allowed to go outside her home and there was hidden panic all around. It had been going on for months now.

She sighed and went to her room and decided to comb her hair in front of her full-length mirror yet another time. She noticed that her hair looked shinier than before... actually it looked shinier in the mirror. She was mesmerized by the shiny effect and lifted her hand to touch the mirror. Her hand went straight through....and she felt an indescribable sense of beauty within it, so without realising it she ended up walking right into her reflection - into herself - into her inner being.

No one could ever find Dana again, not her family or the police. It was only her mother who noticed that her room with the full-length mirror seemed brighter and vibrant in a way she could not describe. She looked into the mirror and heard a faint sound of happy laughter...then suddenly for a split second she saw her daughter smiling at her from the mirror reflection. She turned to see if she was behind her but Dana wasn't there.

She heard her daughter's voice saying, "Come Mama...it's so much better here. There's no sickness, no fear, just natural beauty which can be enjoyed only from within yourself."

No one ever saw Dana's mother again either.
