Problems in relationships start surfacing because two individuals have different personalities. It is important that each partner ensures the other is okay and not left in the lurch. We live in a predominantly patriarchal society where even a prenuptial agreement is a legal contract.

The level of incompatibility is extremely high in some couples. The kind of power a man gets in such bonds over a woman is disheartening. Want of privacy and desire for non- interference in their personal lives have made many youngsters move out of their parents’ nests, leaving them lonely and neglected. One needs to have a mature attitude towards petty quibbles and a balance needs to be maintained between protecting the sanctity of marriage and interests of the spouses.
