The recent spate of high-profile complaints in the news is undoubtedly sending shivers down the spines of perpetrators, big and small. It is now time that anonymous complaints are taken seriously.

 

The # MeToo movement has shined a bright light on the sad reality. Sexual harassment is a real problem in countless workplaces across the globe. Creating an environment where every employee feels both encouraged and safe to bring these issues to management’s attention is the critical first step in fixing this problem.

 

The movement is rapidly gaining momentum across the globe, with women naming their assaulters openly. Unfortunately, most of these cases go unnoticed as nobody bothers to complain. Companies, film industry and social organizations must provide safe spaces for employees and must set up a committee that will address sexual harassment and will investigate the cases.
