Happily Ever After
Happily Ever After
Pratha and Manhar had known each other since childhood. They had grown up in the same neighborhood and had gone to the same school. But despite their shared history, they had never really spoken to each other, until one day when they both found themselves waiting for the same bus.
Manhar struck up a conversation with Pratha, and they found that they had a lot in common. They both loved reading, hiking, and watching movies. Pratha was impressed by how easy it was to talk to Manhar, and she felt a flutter in her stomach that she had never felt before.
Over the next few weeks, Pratha and Manhar started spending more time together. They went on hikes together, had movie nights, and even went on a weekend trip to the nearby mountains. Pratha felt like she was falling in love with Manhar, but she wasn't sure if he felt the same way.
One day, Manhar took Pratha to a secluded spot by the river. As they sat on the bank, watching the water flow by, Manhar turned to Pratha and said, "I have something to tell you. I think I'm in love with you."
Pratha's heart skipped a beat. She had been waiting for this moment for so long. But just as she was about to reply, they heard a loud crash from the nearby woods. They looked over to see a car had careened off the road and crashed into a tree.
Without hesitation, Manhar sprang into action. He ran to the car to see if anyone was hurt. Pratha followed close behind. They found a young woman trapped inside the car, bleeding and unconscious. Manhar broke the window and pulled her out of the car while Pratha called for an ambulance.
The next few days were a blur of hospital visits and worried phone calls. The woman they had rescued turned out to be the daughter of a local politician, and the crash had been an attempt on her life. Manhar and Pratha became accidental heroes, praised in the news and by their friends and family.
But as the attention died down, Pratha noticed that Manhar seemed distant. He was preoccupied with something, and whenever she tried to talk to him about it, he brushed her off.
Finally, one evening, Manhar sat Pratha down and said, "I need to tell you something. After the accident, I received a threatening message. They said that if I didn't stay away from you, they would hurt you."
Pratha's heart sank. She had heard about the dangerous underbelly of the local politics, and she knew that Manhar was in danger just by being associated with her.
"I can't let anything happen to you," Manhar continued. "I have to leave town, and I can't take you with me. I'm sorry."
Pratha felt like her world was falling apart. She had finally found someone who understood her, who made her feel alive, and now he was leaving her. She begged him to stay, to find a way to be together, but he was adamant.
As Manhar packed his bags and prepared to leave, Pratha couldn't help but feel like they had been so close to happiness, only to have it ripped away from them. But even in the midst of her heartbreak, she knew that she would always treasure the time she had spent with Manhar. And maybe, just maybe, they would find a way to be together again someday.
Years went by, and Pratha moved on with her life. She started a successful business and traveled the world. But no matter where she went, she couldn't shake the memory of Manhar. She wondered what had become of him, and if he ever thought about her.
One day, as she was flipping through a magazine, she saw a familiar face in an article about philanthropy. It was Manhar, smiling warmly at the camera. Pratha's heart skipped a beat as she read about the charity he had founded to help underprivileged children in his hometown.
Without a second thought, Pratha booked a ticket back to her hometown. She knew that she had to see Manhar again, to find out if there was still a chance for them.
When she arrived, she went straight to the charity's headquarters. As she walked through the door, she saw Manhar sitting at a desk, deep in thought. He looked up and saw her, and a smile spread across his face.
"Pratha," he said, standing up. "What are you doing here?"
"I had to see you," Pratha said, her heart pounding in her chest. "I had to know if there was still a chance for us."
Manhar looked at her for a long moment, and Pratha felt like she was holding her breath. Finally, he spoke.
"Pratha, I never stopped loving you. But I didn't want to put you in danger. When I left, I thought it was for the best."
"But now?" Pratha asked, hope blooming in her chest.
"Now, I think we can make it work," Manhar said, taking Pratha's hand. "I'll do whatever it takes to keep you safe. And to keep you by my side."
Pratha felt tears welling up in her eyes as she looked into Manhar's warm gaze. She knew that they still had obstacles to overcome, but with Manhar's love and determination, she knew they could face anything together. They hugged each other tightly, knowing that they had finally found their way back to each other.
