I was sitting near a temple and was watching him for a while or so he was elderly beggar who was doing his job.

I kept watching him like this. A while later he went and sat down near the sidewalk. He looked thirsty so I went and bought some food and water and handed it to him.

He drank some water and opened the parcel. Before he started eating, he took a handful of rice and pressed it to his eyes as if it was Prasad(Devine offering) and started eating. I was curious to ask why, but waited till he finished his meal.

After he finished I asked him why he pressed the rice to his eyes. He said When he earns money from begging and then buy the food, it would become his earning. But when someone provides him with food, it's considered Prasad. Because he said he belie

ves " This rice ,from the moment of its sowing to the moment of it reaching you and then to me was all made possible by Gods hand and he himself has provided me with prasad by serving it with his own hands. I think this is more precious than the prasad given inside the temple and also you need to look civilized to get into the temple for prasad. It's a Devine Gesture that God hasn't forgotten about my tiny stomach(his smile while saying this line was priceless)". He at that old age and in that financial position haven't lost hope. His humbleness, positive aspect and level of understanding life was mind-blowing. So I think his story was an inspiring one.

What I learnt from him is "God is not physical, he is everywhere, anybody can take is his physical form and be there for fellow being in need".
