Chiku Rabbit And Maths Test

Chiku Rabbit And Maths Test

Chiku rabbit was not feeling well as it was maths test and he had not learned anything. So the maths class started and the teacher wrote the questions on the blackboard. She asked the students to tear a page from their notebook, write their names and then answers to the question.

As Chiku was expecting, he had no clue about what to write. He kept doodling the whole time during the class and as the bell rang, everybody went to submit the paper but not Chiku. He thought the teacher wouldn't notice him in the crowd that gathered around her to submit the paper. He was feeling confident about his plan. When Mikki squirrel asked him about his test, he lied that he knew everything. When Munnu Mouse and Kiti Cat were quarrelling if the answer to question seven was 25 or 52, Chiku interrupted them and announced that it was 70.

Next day, the teacher distributed checked tests. No one scored good but at least they got their papers except for Chiku. When the teacher asked him, he said that he submitted the paper and maybe the teacher lost it. The teacher was certain that there was no way that she lost or misplaced Chiku's paper and had sensed that he was lying.

She asked him again if he submitted the paper to which Chiku said, "Yes ma'am I did submit the paper. Maybe you lost it on your way to staffroom or while checking."

The teacher nodded and said, "Sorry Chiku, maybe you are right."

"No problem ma'am. I was expecting full marks anyway." Chiku replied.

"Oh if that's the case then why don't you solve the test onboard? We had to discuss the test anyway." The teacher told him.

Chiku got into trouble now as he didn't know anything.

Moral - A lie can protect you temporarily but the truth makes you strong enough to protect yourself in the long-term. One must always tell the truth.
