An Unusual Art Class

Gratitude and respect are not just two words, they hold the ocean of emotions and feelings in them.....I'm narrating a famous short story where a young student showed his utmost feelings and gratitude towards his guru...his teacher. 

Once in an art class, a new teacher came, he told the students that you all are like an open book for me. He further added that if with just one thing you can share with me the most lovable thing or person of your life, what will you draw and why? 

After listening to this strange instruction from the teacher, the students were little confused but it was first class with this new teacher so they were unaware about the mannerism of the teacher so they all started drawing. Few drew flowers, butterfly, Nature scene etc, few drew their mom's face, few shared about their favourite food like chocolates or candies etc. and few their pet or favourite toy but only one tiny genius drew a palm .

The teacher saw it and repeated his instruction .....draw any one thing which holds a special place in your heart and with which I can get to know about you...still this little-one didn't change anything and was ready to show that single palm...everyone started looking at him and asking him in Chinese whisper...so he stood near the teacher and told, Sir, it's my most lovable thing.... it's one thing which never leaves me in my tough times...it always holds me and guides me at each turn and twist of my life...it's MY TEACHER'S HAND..

The new teacher as well as all the other students were speechless to see the depth of respect and gratitude this little boy possessed in his heart for his GURU.

I feel this is what we all must possess and learn from him...Give utmost respect not by words but by gestures and deeds.
