A Theatrical Revamp (Movie)

Ramesh & Chandan were college friends & of course they were the best friends. Chandan was a kind of person for whom everything that is foreign, it is the best thing in the world. Although he has never visited any foreign country in his life, but whenever he talks about achievements of western countries, he feels sad that he is an Indian. He is a great movie lover & every weekend watches a movie, and of course, Hollywood Movie. Very rarely he sees any Hindi movie or a regional movie. Although he is a nice & helpful person, but sometimes while talking about achievements of western countries, he often points out negetive aspects of our country. Ok it is true there are certain negative things in the country, but always talking about those things means you are insulting your own country. You have no respect for your own motherland, the place where you are born, the place which is your true identity.

Once it was Sunday & Ramesh made up his mind that he will see a movie in cinema hall. He called Chandan on his mobile phone & said to him, "Hi Chandan, would you like to go for a movie?". Chandan said, "Yes definitely man. It's been too long since I saw any movie. It will be a good change." Ramu said, "Ok then done, I am coming with my car & will pick you up from your place at sharp 11:30 . We will see the 12:00 PM show." Chandan agreed.

 As planned, Ramesg picked up Chandan & both of them reached the multiplex. The greatest film in the history of Indian cinema,"Bahubali- The Begening" was on show. The Cinema hall primisis was full of roaring hoardings of Bahubali, Bhallaldev & Devsena. Right at the entrance they could feel the soul of the movie, that has taken away the entire world. Ramesh & Chandan took their respective seats & the show started.

Right from the casting to the first scene of the movie, it was pure goosebumps. Indian audience had never seen such a marvelous cinematic marvel. Beautiful surroundings, grand palaces, brave chariots, skilled warriors & deadly weapons. Sitting in the hall Ramesh & Chandan were feeling extremely proud of themselves that they belong to such a great country, the history of which is so rich & glorious. The storyline, the casting, the performances of actors & the VFX, everything was just more than perfect. And the final icing on the cake was the war scene between Mahishmati & Kalkaye empire. 

Ramesh & Chandan were feeling like they have entered a different world. They had completely forgotten they are living in 21st Century & this is the period of satellites & rockets. Even at certain moments, they also felt like they are one of the characters from that movie, such was the impression of the movie on their personalities. Even during the interval,

as Ramesh & Chabdan moved out to have snacks & cold drinks, they were feeling like they are in a time machine, which has just brought them back to 21st century from the historic period. They just rushed towards the popcorn corner, took their eatables & quickly returned to their seats as they did not want to miss even a single second of the grandest movie of the century, Bahubali.

As the movie started again, they were just looking towards the screen without blinking their eyes for a single second. They were actually feeling that movie in their hearts & finally the climax came, which was not just a climax, but a question of lifetime. For the first time we all saw a situation that entire country was united & desperately waited for 2 years to know the reason that "Why Kattapa Killed Bahubali?". 

The movie was finally over & everybody started moving out of the hall. As Ramesh & Chandan exited the door, they were feeling like they were in a time machine, that just brought them back from historical grandeur to the modern mechanical world. Both of them sat in their car & moved towards their home. For few minutes, they did not talk to each other as they were lost in the memories of what they just saw.

After few minutes Chandan said," There is so much in our history that we still do not know." Ramesh agreed,"Yes, we don't have proper knowledge of culture, our legacy, our science & technology, which was more advanced in ancient times as compared to modern times. And it happened because we stopped reading ancient books. 

Books are storehouse of knowledge. More we study, more wise we become. But today's youth, they don't even want to study their core subject books regularly, how can we expect that they will ever study books related to our culture & history."

Ramesh said, "Yes you are right. Being a common man with no knowledge of movies & cinema I can't comment much. But I sincerely want to request filmmakers of our country that they should keep making movies on historical events & customs. It is because something that is explained in visual form, people focus more on that as compared to reading same concept in a book. 

Please don't get me wrong. I am not saying that books are not important. But by visual methods we can definitely change the mentality of today's youth so that they can understand their real history & show some respect towards their glorious past."

Ramesh & Chandan happily moved towards their homes, feeling more respect in their hearts toward their beloved country. That day Chandan also realised that in this rat race of running behind foreign goods and lifestyle, he was ignoring his real Indian values.
