Many many years ago there was a huge forest. It was very unknown and so there were no humans to pollute it. As it was extremely clean, there was a lot of animal population. All the animals lived together as a family. Here fishes crawled on the land while the birds walked in the forest and did not fly. Because of this, the jungle was overcrowded. All the tiny animals and creatures were crushed by the enormous ones. None could live freely and some were pushed by each other and some were banging each other. This made everyone fight. Soon the king of the jungle started to get many complaints about this matter and was very furious.

The same thing was going on everywhere in the jungle. The animals sometimes became so angry that they didn’t even talk and look at each other. After arguing many days, months and even years, the king could not bear the condition of a huge overcrowded jungle and declared a meeting the next day. When the meeting started, every single animal screamed at the top of their voice. The king made all of them silent and the animals turn by turn discussed their problems with the king. After listening to all the problems the king asked for suggestions.

Everyone was complaining but had no ideas to suggest. So the king had to think about it when suddenly the leopard, the king’s minister declared, “There must be separate homes for all of them.” With this the king’s brain sparkled, he remembered the differences he had noted and the specialties of different animals he has observed all these days and decided, “For this everyone needs to separate but I assure that is for your good.” The tigress frowned “What, separation, will we go to another jungle?” The king smiled. “Not at all, we live together in unity as a family. I’ll announce everything. From now the fishes will swim in the water because they have fins and gills to survive and birds will fly in the sky as they have wings. Birds, now your wings are small and weak but, when you will use them they will be strong and large.”

The fishes happily dived into the water as it was their favorite place. The king continued, “Rabbits will live in burrows. Snakes and worms will live in holes in the ground. Bears, lion, tigers, etc, can live in dens. Many more can live in dens but I can name only these. Squirrels will live in the space in the tree trunks and I am sure other animals are wise enough to adjust in the space left.”

The animals agreed. After a few days, the wings of the birds developed as told by the king. With this decision, everyone had a lot of space and freedom to move anywhere they want freely and there was no fight, injury and all the animals remained best friends and were delighted and the environment was joyful.
