Charles Dickens was one of the finest story writers and novelists of all time. He was a legend and most of his novels have been made or adapted to films & TV serials.

I remember having read some of his novels including "A Tale of 2 Cities", "Oliver Twist" and "A Christmas Carol".

"A Christmas Carol" was different from his other novels in that the book was a fairy tale type and meant to educate the then selfish people about the meaning of selfless life and true essence of Christmas.

The theme or underlying messages of the book "A Christmas Carol" are :

● Going on a Holiday.

● Sharing your wealth with others or have-nots because it is God-given.

● Being kind, generous and compassionate towards others.

This is what Christmas Carols are all about and why they are sung in unison in order to convey the message of peace, brotherhood and selfless love!
