You
You
The stars in the night sky
Hold no allure for me,
For I could lose myself
In the ones in your eyes.
The caress of the wind
Is devoid of all meaning,
For it is your touch
Which brings meaning.
Trees whisper sweet stories
Yet they perish into nothing,
For it is your words
Which are saccharine.
Time itself, sits down
To tell me a new tale,
But all I wish for
Is an old one from you.
I may have the world
At my fingertips,
But it still isn't worth
As much as a moment with you.
