Abstract Romance

Yearning

Yearning

A lonely fate,

A heart that beats, but cannot mate.

A love unrequited, a silent pain,

A soul that weeps, but all in vain.

I watch from afar, with longing eyes,

Hoping for a chance, to touch the skies.

But my heart aches, as you pass me by,

Unaware of the love, that makes me sigh.

I dream of you, in the still of the night,

Wishing for your love, with all my might.

But you belong, to someone else,

Leaving me, with a broken self.

Yet, I cannot help, but love you more,

My heart refuses, to close the door.

You are the one, I am thinking of.

So I will love you, from afar,

Hoping that one day, you'll see the star.

That shines so brightly, in my heart's sky,

And realize the love that cannot die.
