Abstract Romance

Vowels Unchained

Vowels Unchained

When our eyes lock,

Our souls hold hands,

Tongues turn to sand.

And words to thoughts.

The air becomes charged

With vowels unchained.

Fluttering around us

Like wild butterflies,

Batting their wings.

What if I caught one

Like a parrot in a cage.

What would it sing?
