Victory Of Valour Over Fear

Dressed like an alluring girl,

Edgy for her new life,

Held her parent's expectations high,

Grin on the face but sigh beneath her heart.

Reckoning about the new life, new people

And the grief of separation.

Tears crawled her cheeks,

Making the situation heart-rending.

As the car started and gained speed

Each moment of this unjustified separation,

Made her more feeble and frail,

But her father's words,

"My strong girl!" Made her swallow the pain.

There it comes, her new homely nest,

Her first steps,

And the showering flowers made her realize,

That she is the princess of this new kingdom.

Initial time passed well,

But something else was written in this book,

Reality started shedding the dust,

And made it more distinct to spot.

Spatula and dusting cloth,

Were forcefully given in her hands.

Hands which were taught to flap the book pages,

Were now cleaning the dirty slabs.

The soft princess's hands 

Were now having cracks,

And were burnt by,

The balmy pan.

Forlorn and glum by this,

Cried in the secrecy of the kitchen,

But was forced to listen to,

The cruel words of her own husband.

One day the limits were crossed,

She offered him a glass of water,

He threw the glass, 

Enraged, the man slapped the girl.

Without thinking about the mighty God, 

And the karma he had done.

"Will be paying for the same"

Thought the helpless girl with tears in her eyes.

Soon this became a regular task,

Finally, the girl tired with the same,

Asked her father for his help,

Scared of notoriety in the society,

Asked her daughter to bear the same.

The girl then decided to take a harsh step,

Leave the traitor and set herself free.

Breaking the chains of this hellish world,

Neglecting the sayings of the society.

Elevated, ran through a garden,

Filled with the scent of white jasmine flowers,

Attained heights in the future,

And thanked herself for the fair decision,

Which made her stand where she was today.
