UGANDA MY MOTHER LAND

From 1894 Uganda was a British protectorate

In 1962 when the United Kingdom granted her independence

Sir Edward Muteesa Walugembe became the first president

Blessed is the kingdom of Uganda though many skip the fact

28th December 1925 to October 2005 lived a Ugandan political leader

A leader sir Apollo Milton Obote led Uganda to her independence

Happy Independence Day to all Ugandans

However, Uganda has got the friendliest people in Africa

Uganda is truly a Pearl of Africa because of the brilliant life

Abundant biodiversity, color, profusion, and her serene beauty

A point to be noted and remembered is about the first man to live in Uganda

Kintu was the first man who came from North Africa with his prize cow

To distinguish Uganda as a country of peace he lived peacefully

Look! What makes Uganda a true pearl of Africa

Having the largest freshwater lake on the continent

Having the source of the longest river

Having the strongest waterfall

Uganda with the largest number of primates and highest mountain gorillas worldwide

Therefore with all the above specialties and unique nature

Why shouldn’t a proud poet and the entire world wish Ugandans the best of 9th October
