Together Yet Far Apart

Everyday we used to wake up together,

Everytime we used to stay together.

What happened now,

We don't stay together anytime.

We used to be happy together,

Like a happy family,

But it all broke down.

So now we're together but at a distance.

We are happy but not together

In other words,

We are together yet far apart

Together yet far apart

Together yet far apart.

I usually wake up with you guys,

I mean mom and dad

Now I am awake all night,

Remembering what I had.

The sweet sunshine,

And love may I add.

The joy of going out,

And avoiding bad.

Now I'm here all alone and sad,

Finding the missing piece I had.

Searching for some rules,

And giving myself a heart attack.

Now I'm here all alone,

And with my grandmother.

My mom working in Oman.

And dad in Punjab.

I just want to keep on singing:

We are together but at a distance.

Happy but not together.

In other words,

We are together yet far apart
