The Unlucky Millionaire
The Unlucky Millionaire
This was in the city of Berlin,
Where the folks never slept,
And each day a new skyscraper was up there,
With only opulence and splendor ruling the air!
There in the city’s ravishing alleys,
Stood a five-storey bungalow,
Or maybe you could term it as heaven,
Which was crowned with richness as its possession!
The home was full of all assets,
Royal walls and perfectly designed ceilings,
Where the curtains flawlessly complimented its decor,
With a beguiling garden outside the main door!
And wouldn’t you wonder,
How beautiful it might be for its dwellers,
Having all sorts of comforts,
Brought to them with thousands of pearls!
Well, he was a retired armed-force head,
Who had built this kingdom,
Investing his young days only to earn for the family,
His old-age is sadly drowning in agony!
When his muscles had extreme strength,
All what he knew was to work and work,
And just to bring cheers on his kids’ faces,
He even disregarded his broken pieces!
A single father this man is,
Who lost his wife in a fatal accident,
Though the pain had been extremely aching to him,
But to bank these luxuries, he never let himself dim!
Yet one might question,
How’s he unlucky, despite having a royal life?
For the reality is his kids have left him alone on the armchair,
Making this oldie the world’s most unfortunate millionaire!
